I use clear plastic egg containers to sort just about everything from paper clips to earrings to beads. I am a beader and when I bring my latest beads home from the store, I immediately take them off the strands and put each project in a separate tray. This way all of the beads are easy to identify, I can see everything at a glance, I can stack them for easy storage and it does’t cost a fortune to stay organized. It also gives me an opportunity to recycle the plastic trays. When I was an art teacher they were great in the classroom too for keeping the children’s art projects organized, clean and neat!
Thanks to Donna Rudl of Clifton, NJ, for the great idea!
