Try this quick fix before calling an expensive repairman

A repairman can be expensive, so try this tip for fixing your ice maker before calling one, says Sharon Palmer of Jacksonville, Fla.

I microwaved some water to an extreme hot, poured it in the top of the ice maker and voila – it started making ice again. I guess it was just clogged up and the hot water melted it, so no need for an expensive repairman.
