For a busy family, trying to get young children to finish their dinner can be quite the struggle. Jo Gunn of Crystal River, Fla. is a fan of her parents’ strategy.
When we were little, we always had dessert after supper, however, we couldn’t have it unless we ate what was on our plate and then we had to turn the plate over so we could eat the dessert off the bottom of the plate! Also, it was less dishes to wash and we didn’t waste food.

I love the simplicity and efficiency of this idea!
Me too
A little bit “old school” for my taste, but it’s the most tried and tested method to make your kids eat dinner, in my opinion. You gotta watch out when you’re kids are eating too much of these sweets, though! If you’re planning to use this “method”, just make sure your kids brushes their teeth well.
