Cleaning a difficult pan

We know Jane Wood of Littleton, Colo. never burns anything she cooks (wink!), but she has a great tip for removing a pan that has burned or baked on food.

Cleaning a really difficult pan is a breeze with a dryer sheet (Bounce or whatever). Use it as a washcloth on the stubborn food or if that doesn’t work right away, put enough water in the pan to cover the stubborn food, add the dryer sheet and let soak for a little while. I think that the same properties that make your clothes cling free are what break the bonds of the food to the pan making it just slide off!

We’d like to know how you discovered this idea Jane! That’s amazing!

Wow. I would never think of this!

Recently had the same problem. I heated some white vinegar in the pan, poured out the vinegar and easily scrubbed off the food and burn marks.

  3. I think that the best improvement is the labeling system. This will really help me to group my lenses. When I don’t quite have as many as you, I’m starting to have problems keeping them straight.

  4. Isn’t really this prostitution?
