For a 12-minute car wash, you just need to deploy a bucket of sudsy water, an old-fashioned string mop, thirsty towels and a garden hose, says Jean Elam of North Augusta, S.C.
The mop can swab across the top and around sides, back and front with about six dips into suds. Rinse with water from hose. Finish with a quick towel wipe-down.
What about the car wheels? Elam says you can wash them when you have more time.
