Reader Tip of the Week: Fitted to be tied? A tip-top reader tip

Do fitted sheets know how confusing they are? Possibly, because without fail, we’re always tugging the wrong corner first and have to start over. But reader Dolores Kenyon of Amsterdam, N.Y., has figured out the answer.“

Putting a fitted sheet on a mattress can be tricky, so I use a black permanent marker to write ‘TOP’ where I should begin to put the sheet on —no more guessing.”

    How do I tell which is the top of my fitted sheets? I have a problem getting any of them on the mattress, no matter what I do. I don’t see any difference in either end!
    Any suggestions?

    I’m still shaking my head over the ‘suggestion’ to do crosswords in ink-so much brighter!!!-must be really nice not to ever make a mistake????
